Please, please tell me what, truly, is the 'Big Question' today, Carlton? After 15 minutes, you've already ventured three different suggestions, each of which was utterly meaningless.

Kelly is so much better when he's not alongside the buffoon - becomes much more animated and insightful. Not surprising when you think about it really.

He's a terrible commentator and I cannot understand why he's still there. Any of the youngsters from GCN could do a better job.

He blocked me years ago when I voiced many negative comments after he took the mic from David Harmon. I have to hit the mute button when he’s on comms…cannot bear to listen to his inane comments.

Drivel drivel drivel. Must be a nightmare working with him as he randomly throws to another commentator dropping them into the quagmire of his verbal diarrhoea with no warning and no idea how to respond to his senseless rambling.

I thought it was just me that couldn’t stand his inane wittering! We are watching the Vuelta 2022 highlights on Quest. Well my husband is, I leave the room as soon I as hear Mr Kirby’s annoying voice. What we want is more of Ned Boulting and David Millar. They are a good pairing, Millar knows what’s going on regarding team tactics, and Boulting has all the stats and general information you want to hear.

Please get rid of Carlton his presentation is very annoying and no match for David Duffield. Dan Lloyd and Adam Blythe and Robbie (the Australian) are miles better.

I've been avoiding watching the Vuelta after finding CK just intolerable. But I thought I'd see if I could bear to watch the highlights of yesterday's stage, given it made the race more interesting again. About a minute into the commentary (already having misidentified Chaves as Uran), he responded to Kelly's reference to Gesink's ability to ride on the front for endless kilometres by saying, 'It's part of his alma mater. It's what he does.' Wtf?? Had to switch off again.
