Get rid of Carlton Kirby

Carlton Kirby is knowledgable but always uses too many words, imagines that by using as many descriptive words as he can is good and believes that using his silly laugh will cover poor jokes or some awkward moments. He has verbal diarrhoea.

So fed up with his inane chatter and laughing at his own jokes. He adds nothing to the commentary

With all this justifiable dislike to this total rubbish irritating so called commentary from Kirby can anyone give a reason why Eurosport retain him as the top commentator. Surely they realize they need a professional commentary. Not constant rubbish. Eurosport are a big company. Why why is he kept on???

Fed up of listening to his inane rambling. He laughs at his own jokes because no one else has a clue what he is prattling on about. Give me Ned and David any day. I would hate to get stuck in an elevator with Carlton… although he probably has a crap story about just such a situation!

The pathetic commentary on Eurosport cycling makes me turn off as it just spoils any enjoyment of watching the race. Why can they not aim for the high level that ITV4 give on the cycling they cover.

Carlton Kirby doesnt commentates on the race infront of him. He just rambles and cracks silly jokes that only he finds funny. Get rid of him and employ someone more capable. Like the three guys presenting the show.

Kirby must go taking Kelly with him

Vuelta, Stage 5: within the last *100 metres* Kirby is prattling on about how straight a line the road is: 'you could almost draw that line with a compass, a ruler, a pen'. That's his commentary in the last 100m. (And how do you draw a straight line with a compass? I'm no geometry expert, but a compass is what you use to draw a curve.)

You can just about guarantee that he'll pick the wrong winner - often picking the person he wants to win or has decided they'll win. Today, stage 5 of the Vuelta, Groves has his hand in the air, Kirby immediately decides Ganna has won. The riders usually know and even just watching, it looked like Groves.

Awful commentator, ruins everything with his shouting and rambling jokes.

Fed up with incorrect names and the same bland comments - "joining the party"

Kirby misses so much in his commentary as to make it meaningless. He might be ok for a bit of inane background punditry but he's out of his depth as a chief commentator.

He just makes so many mistakes. Sean, Robbie, Adam and Dan do well to correct him as diplomatically as possible but it’s quite painful to hear sometimes.

As much as we love cycling, we have given up watching the Vuelta because of the poor commentary.

Watching the Vuelta and earlier this year the Giro on Discovery with the sound off because I can't stand Kirby and 'yes, well' Kelly. I watched the Tour on ITV4, but there's no way I'm going to subscribe to Eurosport while they have these two hopeless and annoying commentstors
