I too have been reduced to watching the cycling on Eurosport with the sound turned down. A lot of what this idiot says doesn't even make sense!

Carlton Kirby is fantastic as a commentator. His comments add excitment to the cycling. I've been cycling for 28 yes and have been watching eurosport since it first started. So all you sad individuals who think otherwise. Please get a life. If you could do any better then you would be commentating on eurosport. You are the weakest link. Goodbye.

The man is awful. Why he doesn't marry Chris Froome I don't know, he's clearly in love with him. He completely spoils cycling with his relentless inane wittering!

Impossible to listen to his inane ill-informed and frankly crass comments - remember his stupid remarks about Quintana laughing after Valverde's serious crash on day 1 of TDF ? Even as I type this he is banging on about tax arrangements in Andorra !

I stopped subscribing to Eurosport solely because of him, as he seemed to be on all the cycling coverage. Can't bear to watch him. If he's not screaming in the finale, he's making the most basic errors about the racing that any cycling fan would know.

CK & his stupid childish mutterings & giggling have spoiled my enjoyment of the Tour of France. He has to be replaced. Sean Kelly, Brian Smith & Greg London together with the rest of the team were excellent value. WE DON'T NEED KIRBY he's just a huge embarrassment to cycling.

This man is a disgrace! Ruins every stage of any grand tour he is on with his unqualified and obnoxious chatter (I would never qualify it as commenatry). GET RID OF HIM, EUROSPORT!

Agree with comments. He is a cliche ridden bore who is in such a hurry about letting us all know how much he knows.It is difficult to keep modern cycling interesting on long stages in fairness to Carlton.
Some of the new breed like Declan Quigley etc are almost as bad.
Be careful what we wish for!!

Yes, get rid of Carlton Kirby. Thought he was drunk, so had excuse for his sorry Tour performance each day. Then realised he is sober — so just embarrassing and bad.

Please! Kirby's comments are the most ignorant yet patronising words in all cycling. I end up watching channels in other languages only to avoid him.
