Please replace with an ex racing cyclist, this man has no real knowledge of the sport. Spoils viewing with his annoying phrases, stupid sayings and many errors when talking about the stages. He ridicules people and countries also, not good! I now turn of the sound when he speaks!

I have to turn the sound off for the finish, sounds more like the Grand National than a bike race

I'm a former subscriber to Eurosport. Having even just average quality commentary would tempt me back. Is there really no-one out there that actually knows about cycling?

Does Carlton Kirby ever talk to the riders before or after any race. His commentaries are just a load of uninformed and unknowledgeable claptrap. Until he is fired I will continue to watch cycling with the volume off.

Kirby is the most annoying commentator and it is a real shame as Eurosport have some great cycling commentators

Nothing against Kirby as a person but he is in the wrong job and his inane 'commentaries' were the main reason that I stopped watching cycling on Eurosport and cancelled my Sky sub.

Kirby during today’s (28/9/16) Milano-Torino (at about 18km to go): he was talking about the 1949 plane crash that killed the entire Torino football team amongst 31 people.
He then seamlessly moved on saying ‘So, Peter Kennaugh happier times for him? Well, not as disastrous, clearly’.

The other day he stopped talking for about 4-5 seconds, then he apologised for the silence as if the only reason we were watching was to listen to his ill-informed and tedious babble.
Useless commentator
