James was my brother aswell and this was in no way justified they have a belt full of non fatal weapons they could have used like pepper spray and a tazer but instead they shot him I'm devastated by the loss of my brother and I want justice.

Get these guys better training. This is not a war zone and these cops are supposed to be serving and protecting. Hayward was a citizen too and deserving of fair and just treatment.

Could have made a better choice. Wasn't neccesary to kill him. My heart feels for his family and friends.

Why can't they just use tazor guns. Or at the worst shoot to wound.
So SCAREY so unnecessary. They have bullet proof vests and are fully armed. Sometimes people get disgruntled and confused but that doesn't mean they should get shot numerous times!

My beautiful 24 year old nephew was gunned down in the streets of Port Hardy yesterday...... then due to bureaucratic BS left on the street to be viewed for over 6 hours. How much evidence was destroyed in the sweltering sun??????? This young man has been screaming for help for years, and this is what was decided upon!!! Another Coo for the men in blue!!!
Not sure if the police are aware but there are these new inventions....mace or pepper spray, tasers, oh yes and RUBBER bullets. RIP now James, you are HUGELY missed.
