There are other alternatives than using a gun...too much use of deadly force.

James was my friend. He was a good man. His only flaw was that he loved too deeply. I pray that this crime does not go unpunished. RIP James, You will never be forgotten <3

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, hopefully justice is served. Unfortunately we as tax payers will pay as they sit on paid vacation for killing a young man. It's just so wrong. I'm so sorry

This is so wrong !! It is bs how cops can get away with killing people !! They are trained to disable people if they scenc3 danger not kill them ! This is discussing that they try to get away with this bs

James was not a bad guy ,most all the kids carry some type of weapon for protection when walking around towns these days ! It's is not there intent to use it on someone else Unless they are using it in self defence!

I hope this isn't a comment trap used by the system to monitor the public reaction.. why do the issue tazers and use their guns with killing bullets .. many of them into one person. One or two in the leg would have worked fine. Sad situation.

I concur with all the comments made and my heart goes out to the family of the young man. May the Creator watch over you in your time of need. There was no need for the "Cowboy mentality" that seems to pervade the ranks of the RCMP and alway has, especially towards Peoples of First Nations' decent. Thankfully, social media gives us an avenue to express our views and sorrow about this injustice. This is 2015, not 1915.

People have to pay for the crime they have committed, that includes the police who have sworn an oth to serve and protect .Not to shot and ask questions latter and far to many officers have forgotten that, it is not the officers that suffer it is the family of the person they have just shot .As they will say after everything is said and done I feared for my life BUllshit you are a trigger happy mother****** that is how I feel and to the family of this horrible shooting are thoughts and prayers going out to your family
Sending you love and prayers
