At this moment in time, there are far too few Gardai on patrol in Ireland compared to the number of pedestrians on the streets. The streets would be much safer if more Gardai were available to monitor them. However, Gardai colleges don't accept that many applicants each year. In particular, the Templemore Gardai College accepts few applications to join the college every year.

The purpose of this petition is to get measurable evidence that's shows how people are currently unhappy with the number of Gardai on active control, and to demand that colleges such as Templemore Gardai College accept more applicants every year.
