Would love to be able to take our young children on walks/bike rides around the lakes area. We currently don't feel safe doing so in our neighborhood due to the narrow roadways and car traffic. Please do push this initiative forward!

For years we have been riding around the lake - enduring close calls with cars. Can’t wait to feel safe enough to take grandchildren along.

Thank you for your work In advancing safe off road trails around the lake. It will make a positive impact on health and safety for the public and will become another community asset for the area. Thank you also for your efforts with informing and gaining support from community citizens , public works & parks and public officials .

This is vital to public safety in pursuit of health, wellbeing and enjoyment of a natural asset (WBL), that should be more accessible to all.

I believe this is important to keep my family active and safe! I live only a few blocks from the lake and would love to bring my family to the lake more often, but risk their safety when I do. I hope you’ll consider this petition as a show of great support!

Trails bring safety, vitality, healthy lifestyles, and visitors to communities that are visionaries. We are so close to finalizing the Loop the Lake Links Trail and whether we are on our bicycles or in our car passing a bicycle on those narrow shoulders - we look forward to the day we don't have to worry any longer!!

The lake and the communities around it are real treasures. Please make them accessible and safe! Let’s not waste what we’ve been given and what makes our area so unique. I used to ride around the lake, until I drove my car around it and saw, from that perspective, how dangerous it is. This wonderful experience should be accessible to all! Thank you for funding this!

The trail AROUND White Bear Lake is as beautiful as the Lake itself! We need to make this accessible and SAFE for sustainable, environmentally-friendly travelers. I whole-heartedly support the development and funding of the Lake Links Trail.

I strongly support completing the missing section of USBR 41 in White Bear Lake and the Lake Links trail initiative to create a bike trail around White Bear Lake.

I support this plan for slow, pleasant recreational use, but also want to see Hwy 244/Mahtomedi Ave. itself fixed. Currently in limbo with state ownership not willing to invest, while city and county have no jurisdiction. Poor drainage, broken shoulders, highly inconsistent clearances make it very unsafe for efficient travel by foot or cycle. No improvement in the 28 years I've lived 1/2 block of this road.

Having grown up in WBL and biked around the lake many, many times I would worry today with all of the distracted drivers to ride on the roads. Trails are very important for safety and to get people and families on bike!
