The vibrant, passionate community of Swindon Town Football Club have endured some great highs and unsettling lows in the past 18 months and while the need for living within the clubs means is paramount, we feel that Mr Lee Powers ideas and continued tenure as owner is not in the best interests of STFC as a football team and in it's role as an important community centre for Swindon and surrounding areas, as a business concern and as a beloved club supported by generations of loyal supporters. For example though the big summer sesh didn't go as planned it represents further efforts on Jed and co's part to maximise the clubs earning potential. Even the audit for the club at the end of October was showing how good the club was. We therefore believe that in light of a recent offer for the purchase of STFC by Mr Jed McCrory that a sale should be agreed by Mr Power in the wider interests of the Swindon and football communities. Since the departure of Mr McCrory as owner, town fans have witnessed a loss of on field form, a seemingly unhappy management/playing staff and player absences from training..
Jed quoted just after his departure " I loved every minute being at Stfc & fell In love with the town & the fans" that says it all in them few words.
