The district finally reversed the new rules and our soccer season is going back to how it should be. Thank you for sticking by me when the administration tried to change a sport that means everything to us. I will be watching the field closely to make sure these changes …
Seeing 250 names on this list feels incredible because it proves I am not the only one frustrated by these sudden changes. My daughter has been heartbroken watching her season fall apart and knowing so many of you feel the same way gives us real hope.

I have been reading all your stories about how these new rules are ruining the game for our kids. My own daughter barely recognizes the sport she loves anymore and it is heartbreaking to watch from the sidelines. We are currently preparing to present this feedback directly to the board members who forced these changes.

Why is soccer being singled out and having its rules of play changed? Footbal, wrestling, basketball have close contact & their rules have not been changed. Most soccer players have been playing for their clubs without masks with the same rules all throughout the shut down with no cases of covid coming from playing the sport.

These kids have already missed a season of school ball last spring. Many of them will never get this chance again. Cancelling another season for these kids is just unacceptable. It is time to move forward with getting back to normal.

Travel soccer has successfully been going on for months. VHSL and the VDH need to get the covid protocols used by travel clubs (these have been proven to work) and stop making up arbitrary rules and reasoning.

Kids have been playing soccer for MONTHS and it’s been fine. Let them continue to play, get exercise and help their mental state. So much has changed for our kids, don’t take one more thing away from them, especially since they have been doing it for months and it’s had no impact in the covid numbers.

As a former soccer player, cutting time down to 20 minutes a half is absolutely nothing. No time to showcase any kind of skill, no time for any kind of come back. Soccer was designed to be 45 minute half’s for a reason. Keep it that way

Please reconsider the rules changes for the upcoming spring soccer season. Having 3 feet between players in the wall completely changes the scope of set pieces.

we can not live in fear, it is outside and kids need activity in their lives.

My son played travel soccer through the fall and winter with no outbreaks. There is no reason for these restrictions.
