Detective Payne should do the honorable thing and eat his own bullet.

Payne should be fired. If he is given some BS excuse of a punishment like paid leave, then that will be a testament to what our government is beginning to become.

Officers cannot make up their own rules. This cannot continue. Officers with a mentality such as this are a danger to the public, and are offer a potential threat to civilians. I wish that officers didn't get this type of publicity, but the great officers of the United States to get recognition. Good luck.

Disgusting abuse of power. Keeping this man employed just shows this department approves of police brutality.

This detective needs to be removed from his job. With his apparent anger issues...he has no business being in police work.

I found it interesting when he said, "She is the one that has told me no," as his reasoning in arresting her. Funny...I thought it was the LAW that told him NO.

Absolutely shocking behaviour from this officer. I hope he gets is arse sued and he is dismissed from his job. He looks about ready to retire .Maybe enforce it. There should be no power trips when a nurse is just doing her job and properly following protocol and being a patient advocate. What stupid man. I live in Australia and I am a retired RN with 40 years nursing.Seeing this on our news here in Australia is rather shocking and disturbing.

As a fellow RN I am really upset & find what happened very disturbing. The officer is a horrible role model for your police department.Furthermore he seems very arrogant & appears to be above the law. His comments after the event in video footage provide an insight into his character which puts him in a very bad light. He will bring all the transients to the hospital ER. The very same hospital where he unlawfully arrested & humiliated a nurse. Isnt he a charming fella NOT!!!!!
