Maybe he should have asked his own department BEFORE making the determination that she was doing anything wrong and the fact he failed to take proper due diligence to find that information out - is IMPO - negligence and his grabbing and manhandling her is again IMPO - a violation of law and should be treated as such with the stiffest penalty allowable.
Forcing someone to draw blood without a warrant - from an unconscious victim - not even suspected of a crime? Maybe in Trump's America - NOT in this America.

I have worked with the police in the ER for many years. At no time have I ever been afraid to interact or work with side by side with them.. After seeing this video, not only does this impact the decision for new nurses entering the Critical nursing field for fear of abuse but it also sheds much light on this cops work ethic. Cops have a hard enough job on a daily basis without some time bomb giving the good guys a bad reputation. We MUST practice NO tolerance for abuse of authority for the sake of the public and other officers wellfare.

The fact that you allowed Det Payne to stay on Active Duty for a month afterward ... that is until the video went viral is not a testament to your goal of maintaining integrity and building trust. You ego driven and arrogant Lt also seems to be unaware of the laws he should be enforcing. This does not represent you well at all. Be a leader and do something other than PR stunts.
