Dena Higley is out. We finally forced the studio to realize that she is a poison to this show and our refusal to stay silent did the job. Stay vigilant because we are not letting them ruin our legacy ever again.

Final supporters
Dena Higley has once again gotten her hands on the creative of Days of our lives. This writer HATES the fans and popular vet characters of the show. If you are tired of getting played by this show that continues to turn to writers who have FAILED before and who have been OUSTED because of the fan backlash before then please sign this petition so that this show can continue or go out on a high note and not a low Dena Higley note.
I know this show clearly tends to give very micro care for the fans but maybe we can some how make a difference AGAIN

The suits at the studio are clearly banking on us just rolling over and accepting Dena Higley back at the helm. They are ignoring the blatant history of her failure and the utter misery she brings to our screen. We are keeping this pressure on until they realize their contempt for the audience is a massive liability.

The sheer volume of people joining this fight proves that we are done watching Dena Higley systematically destroy the show we love. These executives think they can run this into the ground without us noticing but the momentum is now undeniable.

I dislike the way she has written Bo and Hope in the past, almost destroying them as a couple. It was obvious that their fans meant nothing to her and the fact that she was writing them both so OOC meant nothing either. (2009&2010)
In the words of daytime legend, Erika Slezak, "She doesn't write stories. She writes events." Her last stint at Days sent viewers away in droves. She only writes for her favorites and to hell with the rest of the cast. This woman has got to go. Otherwise, she will be the final nail in this show's coffin.
Dena is destroying and killing off the first families one by one to spotlight her pets the Hernandezes who are a snooze fest. And she along with everyone involved with the death of Will Horton and the anti-gay messaging that went along with it need to be fired.
Thanks for taking away my favorite character Higley! It feels great loving and supporting a character and portrayer then having no exit for them! Signing for Kassie DePaiva. May she come back when good writing can be done for her.
I'm now watching Days on recorded copy so I can FF through the crap stories which is a lot. Keep the poor stories and I will just read the daily summaries. Current stories are hateful and dark, not escapist entertainment of characters that I love.
The declining in viewership on Days lies on the fault of Ken Corday as much as Dena Higley and Josh Griffith or TomSell.Because Korday hires these hacks and then turns around and announces another plan to save Days. Korday should listen to the cast and the fans who want Dena Higley gone before she recycles anymore bad plots. I know she hates and wants to sabotage fan favorite couples like Steve and Kayla, John and Marlena and other talented vets to prop up her pet favorites like Rafe. She may have taken a sabbatical and Josh Griffith ruined the show with his doom and gloom but if Higley returns she will do much worse if not stopped. She clearly has no respect for the show's history, the characters , the cast or the fans. Just ask Erika Slezak who played Viki on One Life to Live on how bad Dena is.

As a 15+ year viewer, the character of the characters have shifted for the worse since she took the writing helm and I've been disappointed in the story-lines ever since. I love this show and would love it to have 50 more years, but I can't see it continuing under her tutelage for much longer.
