We went to drop off a large donation of food we purchased to the centre! My little boy felt so proud! He was told by Sheila to put it in the corner and she carried on with her phone call, no thank you, nothing! I know we don't do these things for reward but my little boy left feeling deflated! We then went to take a look st the Guinea pigs as we were contemplating getting 2 for the kids! We asked about donation amounts etc and it seemed the girl picked a number out of the air and requested £40 each per Guinea pig! Told me this was to cover pregnancy scans etc!!! Think this was a bit excessive as the pigs were boys apparently and we had just dropped off over £40s worth of pet food!!!

My daughter volunteered here at age 14 and was concerned about the conditions and lack of leadership and organisation there. Sheila was rude and aggressive to my daughter and her friend and even phoned me to say she had called the police as they had 'walked out' after signing in and had gone missing, when in fact they were wandering around to find someone to ask what needed doing that day as no-one was there.
More recently, they had our elderly cat put down without any attempt to find the owners. The vet admitted he'd been euthanised because he was so old he wouldn't be able to be re-homed. We had desperately been trying to contact Capricorn when we found out where he was, but no-one would return calls.
Finally, they did not even apologise for killing our poor cat and we were very distressed to think he'd been with strangers when he met his end.
I can't comment on any financial irregularities, but I would be very concerned about any animals left in their 'care'.

I rehomed some ferrets from here and you could see that the men looking after them cared and were looking after them but was upset by the look of the rest of the place...

We have seen the state of the cat house cats just sitting around on rubbish and there mess when we had a rescue cat off her she told us it was a kitten which it clearly wasn't but we felt sorry for it and took it anyway she told us he was in good health all his jabs and stuff but less than a month later he was diagnosed with feline AIDS to which the vets said he has had it for several months so she lied to us he later died three weeks later when I phone to tell her this she too was very aggressive to me and threatened me not to say anything needless to say I didn't heed her warning and reported her to rspca I won't let anyone I know have any animals from there the place should be shut down...

at last.she stole my poodle lily last year,and I cant afford to take her to court as I'm a pensioner.

I gave £300 to them in cash with my daughter as a witness and I'm still waiting for a reciept and certificate. This was raised from s New Year's Eve fancy dress party. I've tried numerous times to get them but to no avail.

My sister had a dog off her. He was aggresive and not well. My sister rang her to take the dog back and was threatened by her and her son. My dad took the dog bck and recieved a torent of abuse. Vile pair.

About time time they investigated the welfare of these animals, obviously there needs are not being met. As to Them spending the fundraiser money/fraud they should be ashamed of themselves, I'm disgusted, I seriously would consider euthanising my animals before subjecting them to this cruelty. My fur babies are a big part of my family !!

Its discussting that money to help animals r spent on drink etc they should be made to account for wot they ave done

About time some light is shed on animal rescue sanctuary/shelters envoiroments also care they receive! Obviously measures need to take place for animals welfare

They attempted to steal my ponies I only asked them to transport them. They are not looking after the animals in their 'care' properly no food or water and being abused

They are thieves plain and simple They took my dog illegally tried to charge me a £80 ransom, when I showed them evidence of the theft they backed off and gave my dog back

Friend got a cat from here a few years back, he suffered from feline AIDS and died within the month! She went back to let Sheila know so she could check the other cats and she shrugged her shoulders at her!
