To people who think Sheila Stewart is hard done by what about the poor volunteers. I volunteered there both at the sanctuary and in the Mold shop. I also helped at jumble sales, tombola stalls and street collections along with many others. Our hard work was thrown back in our faces. We never once received a word of thanks. As soon as we expressed our concerns we were forced out and abused. We could resort to alcohol because of what we had to put up with from Sheila. Believe me you really don't know half of what we suffered.

I'm signing as I'm a regular who donates cash to this charity and now feel let down that my money I've worked hard for is longing this lady's pockets!
Hope she gets the book thrown at her... Name & shame all the way!

You would drink 3k of alcohol if you had to put up with what Sheila has to put up with.

This place needs new management. These unfortunate animals should not be living in conditions like this.

Been there once. Never again. Worse than a dump. Animal welfare is not an option there.

I am volunteering here currently and fully support this. I can confirm that you are doing what you set out to aim. She has had us all cleaning the place drastically but little does she know is that me and a couple of other volunteers take regular time and date stamped photos and these photos all have proof of the animals conditions on a regular basis which as you all will know are unhygenic and unpleasant. We also have videos of cages, averies, hutches ect. The RSPCA have been here and have told her to sort the place out. She also has no clue who these people are but she and her son are targeting certain people to scare them off. I also can't mention names but a trustee is also holding an investigation. All the volunteers here are wanting her and Rob out. She's a disgustingly rude woman who is yet to realise who is actually leaking out infomation to the people against her. We volunteers can't tell her how concerned we are as she gets the police to remove people who tell her straight out and if we get kicked out these aniamls will have no one to care for them as she never gets her hands dirty. Keep up all your work and I will keep sharing infomation with you from the inside.

I visited here a couple of years ago to donate dog food and left there in tears. Cats crammed into indoor guineapig/rabbit cages, stacked up on top of each other. There was also an owl amongst these cats with no eye?!

Dirty, filthy, poor hygiene and sanitation, appalling living standards, disgusting condition and distressing to witness.... This best describes Sheila Stewart and her son Rob, but more alarmingly it paints an accurate picture of the zoo they’ve disguised as a rescue centre.
This abysmal place is not fit for human habitation let alone any other living creature. It is a distressed, neglected, uncomfortable and volatile atmosphere that demonstrates disturbing and unnecessary animal cruelty.
This pair of repulsive, cruel, loathsome individuals are nothing but animal hoarders who deserve to be caged and neglected themselves. Get this place shut down as they should be banned from keeping animals!

Always had my concerns about this place. Untidy, dirty and even if you turn up to help or gift them, Sheila is blunt and rude! Always publicly nasty about people who have to give up an animal, to the point people no longer hand them in, they tie them to gate and leave. Her attitude is just wrong on so many levels. Claims to have the animals best interests at heart but this just sadly isn't the case. Appears the animals are just an excuse to accept people's money. I know countless volunteers who have felt bullied, intimidated and are afraid to go back. This place needs investigating NOW!!!

as a long term volunteer at capricorn for over 8 years it has been a heartbreaking situation to witness animals regularly without water food care ,and veterinary treatment .
any standards of care were maintained by volunteers , volunteers who loved the animals wanted to look after them properly but were denied this . We have been lied to, abused, threatened and bullied .

I did help hear at capricorn and i do agree with all the bad things sadly,i dont believe sheila has the animals best interests at heart.the place needs lots of tlc and good managers ,all staff are lovely and try their best for the animals and the place would of gone bust years ago if it wasnt for them. Sheila is always abrupt and the place wasnt clean,i would support the choice for the sanctuary to be taken over by people who have compassion and the animals best interests as their motivations.

As someone who aspires to one day run my own animal rescue, I find this news to be sickening. Animals need our help, they cannot speak out for themselves-we have to do something.
