Princeton finally caved and removed Singer from his position. We dragged them into the light and forced them to address the vile filth this man has been teaching for decades. Stay vigilant because we have to make sure they do not hire anyone else who shares his depraved worldview.

Final supporters
Last year, a news article was published where Princeton University Bioethics and Philosophy Professor Peter Singer said that disabled infants/babies should be euthanized (as in what people do to animals when they are sick or dying) and that it is ok for able-bodied people to rape disabled people of any age because they are not truly capable of not consenting to sexual encounters, therefore they are enjoying what is being done to them. Peter Singer lists my disability, spina bifida, as one of the cases severe enough to warrant this. My disability is not severe and only inhibits me from doing certain things. In 2015, protests against Singer were made and petitions were created and directed at the University, and Princeton U ignored it. Peter Singer is still one of the top rated professors at the university today after 20 YEARS of being there. This man makes me so sick I cannot even explain it. I wish this was not a real story. I saw this article months ago and started typing this very message but got so mad I couldn’t. Now, with the growing number of accusations of sexual misconduct in the entertainment industry by well known people as well as general public and gov’t officials, it is time. Princeton University thinks they can hide behind their prestigious reputation while keeping an ableist extremist on their payroll. I am currently working on a formal demand letter to the administration and I refuse to let them ignore us this time.

How sad that someone has these views and perceptions of people. He likely won't stop these beliefs, but he shouldn't be allowed to perpetuate them.
This is absolutely NOT OKAY AND DISGUSTING! We were taught if someone can't say no or yes that is still rape if you engage! That college is just as bad to ignore such a scary and terrible statement! I hope this "man" is fired.
If the purpose of philosophy is to show us how to live happy, productive lives, then what Prof.Singer is doing is taking it to its logical absurdity. Extending thoughts to wherever they take you is fine as a thought experiment, but not so fine in reality. I have always made it a point to go in the opposite direction of Nazi philosophy; while I know nothing about Prof. Singer, I look upon his work as an extension of Nietzsche's idea of the Ubermensch, that the Nazis appropriated as their own.
People who have no compassion for others have no place in schools and among our children. We should all consider it our duty as decent,caring beings to promote love and understanding, not hate,fear and judgment. How else do we make our world better and safer ... for those we know and love as well as those we don't.
I am SO proud of you for standing up against this offense of society, Mia. Nice work and stay strong!!

Good for you Mia! Professors with tenure are very hard to fire, but the new atmosphere in America might bring some justice. Let's hope.
