She laughed at my son's Ex's testimony, shaking her head repeatedly and then slept through most of my son's side. And then reversed previous custody order after 4 1/2 years, and gave controlling custody to the Mom. And more days with her. Previously it was 55-45 controlling now reversed to 35-60.

What an absolute horrifying situation! It sounds like this judge needs some serious mental health intervention! If she is NOT able to uphold the law in a diligent and professional manner then she needs to take leave and be reevaluated to see if she can handle the massive responsibility her job entails and requires of her.
I'm so sorry to hear about how her incompetence has ruined lives and moreover, the lives of children that have been entrusted to her rulings.
Please remove this judge, review ALL of her cases, and replace them with a judge that will use their office effectively and appropriately.

Drug testing for judges should be mandatory. They work for us, and must be clean.. Popping sugar, and sleeping are indicators of drug abuse.

Any judge, elected or otherwise, is to be the bearer of justice and integrity.
I'm exploring the State to open and full, fair and impartial investigation into the behavior and rulings of this judge.
If found to be guilty of failing at her post, I'm requesting her cases IMMEDIATELY be reviewed and outcomes be changed to fall in with all state and local laws.

My ex-wife cheated on me and moved out of our home. I had 50% physical custody of my three kids until my ex-wife took me to court for full custody. On the day of the hearing, my lawyer informed me that Judge Rawls had already made a decision to let me see my kids just every other weekend. This was before being sworn in, any testimony, or any courtroom activities. Judge Rawls simply made a decision without hearing from me, an always active, involved father. I asked my lawyer if I could speak to the judge and so I had to spend approximately 15 minutes defending my fatherhood before the judge decided to give me a few more nights each month. My kids mother didn't have to utter one word! She sat silently knowing that she was going to get paid! Something has to be done about Judge Rawls, She's unfit to serve.

I know a 15 year old girl who can not see her step father who has taken the father role in her life because she calls him "daddy" and texts him a lot. It is sick how they turned a youn child's love for a father figure into something sick and twisted

If you guys are truly serious about her. Here's how to complain about her, Write a letter of complaint with her name to JUDICIAL STANDARDS COMMISSION P.O.BOX 1122 Raleigh NORTH CAROLINA 27602. If enough of us complain about her I'm sure she will be removed from the bench.

We had a court hearing with that judge for a contempt motion. As my attorney was making the arguments how the other party has been violating the visitation order, Judge Rawls was falling asleep, what a professional!!!!
The other party has been showing no regards for the court order. We had all the proof to show that the other party was in contempt.
Instead of doing her job as a judge, she just asked for another order to be redone without even sanctioning the other party.
During the trial, she was more a counselor, a friend, than a judge referring to her personal life. The other party was not even found in contempt. My attorney had told me to not expect much with that judge. He was sadly right.
After the hearing, I found out that she is also a pastor. I guess she might have a hard time to know how to behave in court, as a pastor or a judge!!!!
I agree with all of you, that judge is a disgrace and should not stay on the bench. Her behavior is not professional at all!!!
With Judge like this, people violating the law have a free pass. So what is the usefulness of the court? I have the feeling that the entire legal system in Johnston county is corrupt.
