Both of my kids benefited from AA this year. I hope that the district will find a compromise with our teachers to be able to bring this back for our kids.

AA is extremely helpful in getting things done! Especially when you can’t stay after school all the time to make things up, because some of us, like myself, have little siblings or neighbors to look after, after school. Other may have jobs and can’t always stay after so AA is helpful to get things done!

This gave us a break in the day and now we literally have to go straight to classes after and you could say lunch is there but during aa we also studied so yeah bring it back

I was suspended the entire 2018-19 school year and never even got to see what AA was all about but I heard it helps so

A great break is awesome in a long day of school also it is so easy to be able to make up any quizzes I have missed. This needs to stay.

AA will allow me to meet with teachers, make or get caught up on school work, and get extra help when needed. I take honors classes and play a school sport. It is very stressful to ensure all my work is completed to my standards of getting a great grade without staying up till 1-2am in the morning. Just to wake up a few hours after I finally crash to do it all over again. Also if I want to get into a great college and graduate with honors requesting a study hall on my schedule is frowned upon. If teachers and administrators want to stand behind their vote then maybe they should assign less or no homework & projects!!! We could work on everything in class during the day.

High School is the hardest part of their schooling and preparing for college. Especially when they are taking all AP and Honors classes and receive tons of homework and/or projects. Not to mention the kids that play a sport where practice is pretty much after school and having games during the week. Without this our children are going to burn out and stress. They don't have the time after school to get this work done unless they stay up till 1am. Then they are exhausted in school the next day and it becomes a vicious cycle to where they get behind and struggle throughout the year. They aren't able to stay after for extra help or to make up work because of the sport they play. Taking AA away is such a wrong decision for our kids. Please reconsider and bring it back to help our kids be successful in their high school years!!!!!!

AA was very beneficial to my son this last year. He could go and talk to teachers if he needed help in there class and do work with his friends if he didn’t understand something.

My son will be a sophomore next year. We just agreed to remove his IEP and move to 504 plan because we were told he would have the AA time to help him. This was 2 weeks ago. Now you have made a liar of your personnel and put my son at risk educationally. Unexceptable!
