No matter the student, AA provides a useful time for you to work on homework, study for exams, get extra help from teachers,or even just have a break in your stressful day. Personally this time has been extremely influential in helping me succeed this year. The benefits of this program are easily seen in any student at CNS that you ask, as well as many of the teachers. I believe it is irresponsible to blame higher level issues that are out of the students' and teachers' control on petty matters like this. There is no reason for innocent students to lose such a beneficial time in their schedule just to push an agenda. This relatively small conflict is in fact an illustration of the much larger administrative problems going on at CNS. As a student, it is a shame to see such a useful aspect of our education being thrown out the window as a scapegoat.

I will be in the high school in 3 year, and I think AA would help the kids who do not have a study hall or the ones who need time to cool down and talk to friends in school. Please consider

This is great for the students. This allows our kids to take a break, sooth their stress, engage into properly conditioned social interactions. The teachers are not working extra hr. This program has so many benefits why stop it. As a father I totally endorse this. As a pediatrician I see all the evidence based advantages to help students’ emotional and mental health. As a tax payer, I vote for this program and if it gets cut, I will go up the ladder until I find someone to support this program. Please don’t put the welfare of our children into the political conflict between teacher union and the state.

This class has helped my daughter so much. Not only is it a nice break from school but she has the chance to get help with her test and quizzes and over all grades. So this would not be beneficial to our students if we lose this block.

kids learn in all different ways. some need a time in the day where they can take a small break and try to fix mistakes they’ve made. grade wise that is. The discontinuation of the AA program will possibly do nothing but hurt some students in or heading into the high school. Please, consider the kids that need this.
