With all the extra homes that have been built and will be built in the future it’s a disaster waiting to happen. We definitely need a third road off this island.

The new complex of shops near Morrison’s has caused absolute havoc getting on and off the Island. People coming from Canvey and via benfleet station to the Island is making in impossible at weekends. Pretty soon parking anywhere will be impossible too many people too many cars too many houses and not enough roads on and off the island. With each passing year with new houses more cars it’s impossible. No matter where on the island if an accident happens nothing moves incompetent planning - we are treated as second class citizens there should be an independent enquiry because it’s becoming more and more like a health and safety issue. With a lack of services together with congestion and difficulties in transport it’s a joke an absolute joke

Both the existing roads "off" the Island, converge on the same roundabout, so there is, effectively, only one way off the Island. It's a second separate road on and off the Island that we actually need. Councillors need to argue from this stand point.

I’ve lived hear 62 years and the traffic is so bad and for years they say we will get a 3rd rd but it has never happened it’s even worse now with the shopping complex over Morrison I’m glad we have that but stop building and do a rd for god sakes ,

I think they should build another road off the island to reduce road congestion and hopefully will never happen , but if there was a major incident on island people on canvey could get off
