I cannot apologize on behalf of Jian Ghomeshi or countless other predators, but I am sorry that women are preyed upon, disbelieved and made to feel powerless.

Thanks for your bravery in naming the abuse and the abuser.

I reel for the women who have felt for so long that they could not speak up, that they could not be believed. But I feel such immense joy for them, and for the many many many women out therewho now feel like they have a voice. Nothing hurts more than secrets, and the first step towards healing is to tell your story. The women who have and the ones who will come forward are helping others like me immensely, and have started a discussion that will change the social landscape for the better. THANK YOU.

I hope for a day when that support is just a given and petitions are no longer required as proof of that support.
