I know all too well what that shame and humiliation feels like and why woman and men stay silent. Unfortunately time does not diminish the details and as years pass they try to force their way out. As someone who grew up as the feminist movelment exploded I hoped our indignation against abuse would change things forever. It saddens me that where ever I travel as a documentary filmmaker and among young women closer to home, the violence only seems to deepen. But I am still hopeful - that the outrage we experience here will support real change.

I too, was a silent victim of a gynecologist during an exam. I was shocked but knew the horror accusing him would cause me.
