Great idea for people who do not want a truck, but want a vehicle that is a car that can also act as a truck. Considering the cost of a new vehicle of any kind, versatility is an important virtue.

I have a 1970 elcamino that has been in the family since new and i love it. i would love to see what GM could come up with for a new one and possibly buy one.

MAKE THE DAMNED CAR! LOL! Why not bring out a new ElC as it seems that re-models of classics are still hot today, I woul love to see a variant that has a back sea with those mini-suicide doors like on the Mazda RX8 then drop in a bad boy engine like the same one in the track worthy Z28 and you have yourself a new classic car for a new generation.

I was excited about the G8 platform version. With no small light weight trucks anymore I think the El Camino would be a hit!
