I work in the film industry and frequently need a truck. As a result I have to have production rent me a truck while I leave my Mercedes C55 AMG at home, often for months at a time. I need a small truck for carrying equipment but I want a sport car for the few track days I can make it to each summer. If we had a modern beast of an el camino on the market I would happily trade in my AMG for one.

At least put out the feelers for yourselves and see the interest in this vehicle. I bet that many people would buy one.

The time is right for the classic car-pickup to come back. The world demands it!

I'd buy one in a heartbeat. They were everywhere when I was a kid and now the closest you can get is a Subaru Baja. you can buy a classic El Camino but who wants to drive one of those through the mud?

as a car guy myself, I admire the dedication this kid has to bring back the el Camino and I support him 100%

I'm an auto writer, track junkie, and performance car enthusiast who also runs a professional ballet company and makes most of the sets. A Ute is basically the perfect car for me, and this seems WAY more likely than a Mercedes-AMG C63 S Ute.

If you can make even a marginal business case for this, please move forward. You might be surprised, as this market has not been served at all for a number of years.
