The El Camino is a beautiful vehicle and I hope to one day own a brand new one!

The Holden Ute is an Amazing Automobile. My younger brother well he is now 22 but when he was 17 had A-Plastic Anemia. He was in a Hospital for a bit over a year. He was miraculously was cured due to a bone marrow transplant at the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. To make a long story short he was able to make a wish before his transplant and it was to travel down under to Australia. While there my brother and I were amazed at the Holden Commodore Ute and how in the world or in this case the Northern Hemisphere that this and the Holden Statesmen has not made its way state side. Low and behold the Pontiac ST marketing came out right before the stock market crumbled. The ST went away and never returned. At least we had the G8/Commodore and now the Chevy SS, however I think it is time to bring a limited run back to this great nation. Many parents and now 20 to 40 year old yearn for a product that is unique and can perform and haul light light duty work without being a truck over 4200lbs. This child has the vision that should have been followed through all those years ago before Pontiac(RIP) got the axe : (. Add some excitement as they used to say to the Chevrolet brand now full of world class performance machines. Give the SS El Camino a shot to be built. Let Australia know that we loved their manufacturing prowess and will not forget to give them what they want post 2017 sans a commodore replacement this could bring hopr to the Aussies and inspiration to Americans.

I live in Malta and yeah even though American Cars aren't common, most car guys are actually die hard muscle car or Corvette fans. But I came to know the El Camino at age 12. It's truly a rock car and you can do anything with it. It's a pity that most models are discontinued. I really agree in reviving this pickup. GM SHOULD make the American UTE. The Aussie obe ain't enough. And thanks to the guy who made this petition and gave me the guts to say all this ;)

Build it as a limited edition vehicle like the SS sedan, then over time bring out the v6 and lower priced v8 versions- maybe even a T4 version with the ATS motor inside.
