There are many families in Australia who have two or three and even more children of the same gender and wish to balance their family with a child of the opposite sex. There is no doubt that all of our children are deeply loved however there is also a need for the ability to balance the gender ratios of our families, to obtain this ability is a cause which we all need to unite for. The Australian Health Ethics Committee is planning to review the Sex Selection ban in 2009, it is now our time to vocalise our need for family balancing. It is important that I highlight that this petition is specifically directed at Sex selection (family balancing), not "designer babies".
