Gender inequality can be defined as providing people with perceived differences with unequal opportunities solely based on gender. This inequality has arisen from socially constructed gender roles and stereotypes. For decades, gender inequality has been a significant issue. While society has come a long way in relation to recognising women’s rights, humanity and safety, women will always fundamentally be treated differently. Whether this be inequality in the workplace, the absence of legal rights, societal expectations or stereotypes.

Please sign the petition below to help us progress towards a more gender equal society. This petition will be sent to the Australian Government in hope to address the issue in a more recognised place.
