Many Schools are discounting in the term fees. We expect GEMS to lead the way by example.

Please reduce the fees of children in gems United Indian school Abudhabi during this economic crisis situation due to corona.Every private company is reducing almost 50 percent of the salary.So we are not able to pay the full amount of school fees.please reduce the fees for at least one term.

Dear Teachers, Hoping you & your families all are doing well in these trying times for all of us. Now that the session has started and children getting familiar with e learning, I have a few observation and gaps which I would like to discuss with the GHS team and have a feedback. * While I proudly boast for the infrastructural facility and extracurricular activities for kids in the institution, for which we are paying a good amount are bit jeopardized as children stay indoors. *Though teachers are doing best to facilitate , it's parents who have to be more efficiently involved in assignments * In their early years of learning Kids are adopted to see and learn through 'state of the art' technique which is not available currently. * No group activities will happen which enhances public speaking, personality development and helps confidence building. * Field ,playing, music, other overall development will also not happen or if it does it's effectiveness can be a doubt. * Kids in this age don't need bookish knowledge rather observe & act. Basis above I believe parents role & involvement has increased manifold which I can observe in last couple of days since eLearning started It does impact our effeciency to work and home as well and we have to dedicate lot more time and energy. As we are working parents and I'm sure most of us are , how are we going to manage when kids are in daycare , even if doing assignments with kids post office hours is tough. I believe majority of the parents believe we should get a waiver in school fee as their is a huge difference in the process of learning. This is my opinion post few days of e-learning. I feel that in such a time like this, where a lot of us parents are losing our jobs or getting a salary cut, schools have got to help us by at least giving us a discount on the fees for this term.

I have two kids studying in your esteemed school in two different branches. Fee reduction would be needed, pls

Both children attend Gems Heritage school. Schools should offer discount for all parents.

The key point is that the school cannot provide the same level of education as it did before the quarantine, thus it cannot claim for 100% of tuition fees (I believe even for a half of the fees, considering all circumstances). In this situation of significant hardship the school should seek for support and understanding first, not parents.

Please add some reduction to the school fees. This is a time for solidarity and understanding.

Reduction of Fess by 30 %

Discount is must We will not agree at all in this situation to keep on paying the same fees for less services And all the parents here are equal And had a serious situation and we won’t accept the schools way under there relief package If we are Jobless only they will get discount I don’t know how people are thinking This discount should be for everyone like other schools

Requesting Gems Management for fee reduction

To Gems Management We appreciate that education is not halted and online option is made available to students. But charging us 100% fees for the entire term is not justified considering that the fees we were paying to school is for our kids to be physically present in a classroom environment and not be sitting at home. Our expenses with home learning has increased with electricity, water, printing, additional WiFi/tech resourcing, strain on us for added time/effort with coaching at home and compensating maid for additional work hrs. We understand that such times of social distancing calls for online education but it’s not a preferred method of teaching that we chose. So it is only fair that the fees are reduced knowing that education is not delivered in its original state of affairs. Especially in such uncertain times where we do not know how long this will go on as there is possibility that for the safety of kids in absence of vaccinations, distant learning option is extended further. We also do not know at what stage will our jobs/financial resources get affected due to COVID and thus need to look into every option to save. Look forward to your reassurance that you will look into how to extend relief during such unsettling period not only to handful affected now but across.
