I am a parent of Gems Modern Academy , the fees is too high per month and for this fee the school can’t do justice with elearning , no infrastructure cost no extra activities .. at this hour when we all under financial crisis .we request GEMS to reduce fees by 50%

Dear Sir/Madam,
My daughter, Somya Dagli is a student of FS1-D at Gems Founders School and her class teacher is Ms.Nombi.
Overall, I have been pleased with the studies. However, since the distance learning has started since the past week plus the 3 weeks of holidays, I am not really satisfied with the service.
The teacher puts a 2 mins video, which are parent centric and the parents specially those like us who are working have to spend all day working very hard with the kids to put them into practice. Moreover, as the kids are not going to school, they cannot concentrate at all either at home.
We have spoken to a number of other parents as well who think that distance learning is not working for them either as we feel it is something not viable for FS-1 Students. Even KHDA feels that kids this young in FS-1 are not meant to be taught via distance learning
We have communicated the same to our parent rep, Ms. Chanda as well and have been informed to summarize this on email.
We don’t think we should be paying the fees for Term 3 for the kids in FS-1. The last month has been full of panic with the kids at home for almost a month now with extensive holidays and distance learning which doesn’t make sense for our kids. Teaching kids to clean dishes or make muffins at home with working parents is quite a challenge and is not something for which we are paying money to the school to be honest.
We just keep getting the email to pay for the re-enrollment for Fs-2 but if we don’t get a positive reply in this matter.
In addition, this pandemic has affected overall economic, work, our pay (I got 50% pay cut, Bonus Cancelled), physical and mental well-being.
Hence, we look forward for your support in such critical situation. .

I request fee reduction for “April to June” Term 1 fees or till the time remote learning continues as my children are in Indian Curriculum school of Gems Group.
I agree, in such unprecedented times, it is not expected from such a well known group of institutions to ask financial details of parents seeking “fee reduction” as all of us are going through emotional and Mental stress.

Reduce the school fees as the child is learning from home. I am also not happy about the e-learning as the child is barely learning and more playing. The concentration is not there. The school must resume again!
The current method is parent assisted which takes up all our time and yet we should pay such high fees! We are doing all the work. Either resume the fees or waive the fees.
