I fully agree that during this covid 19 time, Gems should consider reduction in fees. Everybody is undergoing great financial stress.

So inconsiderate from GEMS to consider this as charity rather than considering parents as partners.

Reduction of fees for Term 3 should be mandatory considering the current situation of Corona and above all why should there be differentiation between schools when all schools should look at a similar objective. To add, definitely school is saving on resources as imparting of education has gone online.

Fully agree it’s not fare to pay 100% fee just for 2 online live sessions, at least 50% fee should be reduced.

the schools are closed, this distance learning is no use at all. as we need to be always there with children's for attending classes , assignments, submissionsetc. so it's not fair to pay full fee, at least 50% discount should be given on term3 fee.

As you know we all are going into this abnormal situation of lockdown.I have 2 children studying in Winchester school (1 – FS1 & 2-Y3) We observed that online learning / distance learning is not effective because 1) Parents needs to spend more time with children’s as children are not aware of online attending meeting submitting study, attendance etc. 2) By considering FS1 students just 3 years old how can we expect they will operate laptop and attend meeting and do online classes ? we observed they are not at all interested to attend online classes, we gave same feedback to class teacher. 3) Same situation for my second child Y3 – she needs always our attention as she is not comfortable to operate laptop for online classes, attendance , submitting assignment , HW etc. always we need to seat with her, 4) We are also working from home as my office is closed , so at the same time all the classes starts at home, its very difficult that time to concentrate on children’s classes. 5) We observed there are only 2 live sessions rest all study children’s should do by themselves , honestly they are not doing any of study for offline lectures. 6) There are lots of restriction e.g. network, internet connectivity, some of teachers also not able to share contents etc. By considering all this is my opinion that we are not getting what we paid for so Requesting you to give the at least 50% compensation of Term -3 school fee.

While appreciating the school for initiating alternative learning platforms , I feel that its unfair for the school to charge full amount of fees and demand bank proof and other confidential documents to substantiate the application for fee reduction. Its clear for everyone that their operating cost now is much lesser than usual, except for the salaries of teachers,if paid in full. There are hardly anyone unaffected, and therefore an explicit discount of minimum 30% would be highly appreciated.

Completely support this petition. GEMS must step up to alleviate the stress caused due to forced fee payment.

I am a learning director in an oil and gas institute and I cover schooling for most of my employees. Due to the situation I have shut down classroom training and migrated to distance learning as well. My operating cost as an institute has dropped by 60% including putting employees on reduced work schedule with 20-30% pay cut. As a school you do require dropping the fees as I have over 40 kids we pay for its schooling and we can’t afford it.
