How nice it is to recognize people who inspire good things! If one person makes a difference to one community let us honor that inspiration. To often only those who do bad deeds gain recognition. This is one way to encourage communities and individuals to work to improve their neighborhoods. A small thank you can make a huge difference!

Such inspirational girl and all the effort that her mom did should not be ignored , she went far beyond her goals and desires to make a dream come true

You put a name on a park bench. By naming It Gemma's Place, it also validates all of the hard work regular citizens go through supporting local projects.

Not sure what by-law would limit this request, or what purpose it serves for the greater good, but certainly an exception could be made in a circumstance like this!

Gemma's story is an inspirational one. All your good intentions shouldn't be trampled on by a technicality but rather supported and praised.

We name hospital pavilions , sport centre s and many park benches etc. With peoples names on them. (And persons are still alive )Please honor a family who has not just asked for something but has done the leg work to accomplish this playground for ALL children to enjoy. Honor a previous commitment to this family...it means a lot to them

Please. There must be someway to recognize a little girls legacy. We all need to live on in this world after we have left it. She will leave it much sooner than most of us.
