Too often dosages are changed or discontinued due to side effects. When you dispense a 90 day supply if would be harder to visually notice if pills are missing, if someone else was swiping some.

Just another attempt by a big insurance company to drive the small Pharmacy out of business. That way they can control prices and everything else. This is the reason why medical care cost so much in the United States!

Another choice made by an insurer who has triple dipped into care, coverage and medication now messing with the rest of the system. Stop making choices for profit and start making choices for people's well being.
