We believe the SEC's suspension of Kwame Geathers was wrongheaded and should be reversed. Geathers was virtually attacked in a way that could very well have resulted in severe and debilitating injury. Geathers action in response to being attacked with clear intent to injure was measured and cannot be reasonably characterized as "fighting" as that term is intended by SEC rule. Moreover, precedent set by the league in not addressing more egregious violations by other players should be followed. The SEC's actions here are arbitrary and substantially and negatively reflect on the leagues credibility and integrity.

Ridiculous suspension. If someone came at me like that I would defend myself too. Shame on the SEC for this one.
