We, the undersigned, are citizens of Fairbanks living in Goldstream Valley, Moose Mountain, or Murphy Dome Road surrounding areas. We would like to urge both GCI and ACS to consider us for their next expansion area the next time decisions are made in spring 2013. While cable TV has inherent entertainment and educational value, many of us have a need for high-speed Internet access (via either cable lines or DSL), either for small/home business support, keeping connected to family and friends, educational opportunities, a simple thirst for knowledge, or a multitude of other reasons that keep us growing together in this modern world. High-speed Internet is currently not available on a widespread basis in our area, and this petition seeks to have our voices heard so that we can hopefully be made a priority. One of you (GCI or ACS) has the potential to capture this untapped Fairbanks market. The question is, which of you will realize the value of it and do it first?
