our family is deeply disappointed that we are dealing with yet another breach of trust on the part of GCAA's board. I believe the majority of parents have made a good faith effort to deal respectfully and constructively with the board and that we have not received the same treatment in return. We are frustrated and saddened that our board has such a deep disregard for the opinions and recommendations of a very dedicated and informed association of parents.

Bait and switch is no way to run an educational institution. Not only does it break the trust necessary for a healthy functioning institution, It is unethical and sends a bad message to the students.

My daughter was the first to be accepted at GCAA, we loved the concept and Ms Glickert as the principal. GCAA is the BEST school in St Louis because of Ms Glickert, her staff, her students and her parents! The Board is WRONG and they are playing politics with OUR children's education and we as a community MUST ban together and right this wrong!

"Head of School" does not mean a dismembered head. It refers to a person tightly integrated with all of the school operations, including the entirety of HR. We all knew this a few months ago when we celebrated that Lynne Glickert became "Head of School." The Board is now being disingenuous.

GCAA needs leadership that reflects its unique character and history, at a critical point in its growth. Essential to that leadership and cooperation is respect for the role of Lynne Glickert as Head of School and respect for an overwhelming expression of support for her from the school families and students.

As noted by Ms. Henry in December, continuing stability as the school grows to its ultimate size is key to its success. Consistent actions of the Board, in tandem with parent involvement, will foster this stability and growth.
