Dear Sir/
Madam,
We are writing
to you about the proposed revision to the development plan for 1350 Perrone
Way, Franklin, TN 37069, also known as Lot 135 on the final plat of Gateway
village, section 3, in the Gateway Village PUD, fronting on Franklin Road and
located approximately 450 feet south of the intersection of Franklin Road and
Moore’s Lane/ Lynwood Way.
As residents of the Gateway Village community, we are NOT supportive of this proposed change
to the original PUD development plan to revise the same to a Mapco Mart
Convenience Store/ Deli with 7 fuel islands and underground fuel storage tanks.
We are concerned
about this revised “Planned Unit Development”(PUD) and want to ensure
that any revisions put before the Council embraces a long range community
vision. We also want to ensure that it mitigates or protects the community from
unintended consequences of this development such as traffic congestion, neighborhood
safety, crime, environmental and noise pollution and attractiveness of the
community for future home owners.
There is a daycare
facility, The Goddard School, (at 1101 Moher Blvd, Franklin, TN 37069), which
is located approximately 1000 feet away from this planned PUD, where we drop
off our kids and with this revised PUD of a gas station/ convenience store, at
such close proximity raises our concern around safety and well being.
We
request you to NOT grant this revision and help us safeguard and protect our
community.
Sincerely,
Residents of Gateway Village

We moved here for the neighborhood feel not to live next to a gas station. The traffic is already a nightmare at that intersection without adding semi trucks and gas pumps.
