I like the previous comment about trying to make it more like Klyde Warren Park.

This is a beautiful idea that would benefit Garland and highlight the other positive changes being made downtown.

Love the idea of a larger square, and it's hard to see much value in the existing structure.

I'm a business owner in Garland and I believe this to be an excellent step forward!

They have tried to address the vacancies many times, but you are dealing with private owners who would rather the buildings rot than be active participants in the community.

Anything but vacant buildings. Not only the east side eyesore. Something must be done to address the forever shell of a building next to Plaza Theatre.

As a Garland resident and tax payer, I approve of this.

Not too long ago the square was a great central part of the community and many great events were hosted there which drew in huge crowds and really helped create a feeling of community. I believe a project like this would help to bring that back. I also think given the success of places like Klyde Warren doing so well in Dallas that this would be a great idea for our city.

It's time to grow!!! Let's make Garland not just beautiful, but a place where we can enjoy and bring back local Saturdays.

Looking forward to seeing this idea and those similar to it that continue to evolve our downtown to be a place to play, gather, eat, shop, bank and live.

More park space would be a huge draw for me and my family. This is public space and should remain so by creating a more inviting space for gathering in garland, like klyde Warren Park in dallas.

It's time to stop the arguing and do away with the existing building on the east side of the Square. It's an eye-sore, a health hazard, and an impediment to any positive growth in the center of town.
