Gainsborough Lea Road has a good service but is to far away from the town, Central Station is only open on a Saturday, where is the logic ?

The action plan was on the Northern Rail twitter page as a retweet this morning, Our family live near Derby and have never been to Gainsborough before, we will try and come in the near future and use the Central Station which sadly I read is only open on a Saturday.

I signed the petition at the stall in Gainsborough Market yesterday, and was given details of this site, I fully support this plan and welcome any improvements to rail services in the town.

The line that passes through Gainsborough Central upto North Lincolnshire and the coast is a sleeping giant, it just needs Northern Rail to support this plan.

Gainsborough loses out to places like Lincoln, Scunthorpe and even Retford due to its poor transport links, I fully support this plan.

Our family live near Grimsby and we never knew that a rail line ran to Gainsborough, for some reason the timetable is not displayed at Grimsby Town station ?

This would be brilliant because we have to drive to Scunthorpe, pay all day parking, then catch the train to Sheffield or Cleethorpes. Or pay a fortune on the bus to Scunthorpe, which is too expensive when you have children too.

In an age of dwindling fuel supplies and increasing population, the train system and its stattions needs fully supporting and improving and Gainsborough is a good example of that...
