The school needs to be a place for all of Narrowsburg and tourists to enjoy. Imagine the business a cultural center such as the Silk Mill in Hawley would bring to our burgeoning town! NO to the rehab center!

It is an entirely inappropriate venue for a rehab center. Narrowsburg resident.

The school board should be concerned with supporting the community, not tearing it apart for the sake of money. Surely a location that is more isolated would be more effective for rehab.

A rehab center will not benefit our community in any way

Absolutely NOT! There is no benefit to the village to have a rehab center in the midst of it!

I cannot imagine a more inappropriate use of the Narrowsburg School than a drug rehab center. It's a terrible idea that will do irreparable damage to our town. Please say no to this - it's the wrong direction for our town.

Why not use the school as a place that unites community, improves tourism ,increases real estate and promotes business. ..the Solution Project is THE solution . The SilkMill in Hawley PA has done this and has brought a great deal to the area. Narrowsburg is amazing and is getting better everyday...let's not stall our positive momentum.

I'm all for rehab. But across the street from a bar? Surely there is a better way to use this building. I like the other bid. Makes sense.

How can a school board consider selling a school, even an old school, to a rehab center?

Honest to John Henry!!! Absolutely no no no no no! Go make your 'for profit' fortune somewhere else and don't pretend you are thinking about 'helping' the community. You're not. You are looking to make money!

surely the rehab will get a ten year tax abatement. this will not solve the tax issues.

Normally, I am not one who says "not in my backyard" but as a resident of this small hamlet, small business owner and mother, I do not agree with having an addiction rehab center located in our small (and luckily still thriving) town. The school should be used to further community, agriculture, education and small business. As a former JYCS alumni, I urge the school board to do the right thing and make a decision that furthers the livelihood of its residents and community.

Having the school build to help the community would benefit so many more people.

A drug rehab center would only hurt the growing commerce in our small community. The school should be used for our community especially since so many tax dollars went towards renovations.

This does NOT belong in the center of our Hamlet. A drug and alcohol rehab center cannot and should not be the center hub of our town!
