I believe we need, education, farming, community center at the SCHOOL!. We have develope a strong community of creative people making this community a better place to be. We do not need casino and rehab center in Sullivan county.

A drug, alcohol and addiction rehab facility does not conform with our Town of Tusten zoning ordinances. A facility such as this needs to have privacy for the residents going through various levels of detoxification and it does not belong in the middle of a town that is about the size of a postage stamp. While I understand the great need for alcohol and drug rehabilitation services, this location is not an appropriate fit. Having graduated from Narrowsburg Central, I understand what a great community asset that building could be, if put in the right hands. This school building is literally the center of our small town, and Narrowsburg hasn't been the same since it closed. This proposed use would only hurt this community more in the long run. We need something that would draw people to the area, and help support our tourism centered economy. I'm not sure what the answer is, but an addiction center is not it.

No small town should house an addiction treatment facility in its centre. It should be situated in a more seculded area so the distractions of even ntownlife do not interfere with their recovery. The school is located directly across from a bar. Is that a good idea?

I am all for rehab programs, but not in the center of our small town.
A drug rehab center is clearly not the highest and best use of these facilities Unless you can demonstrate a rampant out of control drug abuse culture in Narrowsburg currently.
