On the afternoon of 22nd May 2013, a British army soldier, Fusilier Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers was attacked and killed near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, south east London. His murderer, Micheal Adebowale was a terrorist extremist who killed the solider who was off guard and walking along Wellington street wearing a Help for Heroes t-shirt. It is with great emotion I feel Lee Rigby deserves the right to have one day of the year dedicated to him, to remember his memory and his devotion to this country.
This petition will be sent to the government once received 10,000 signatures. Thank you in advance.
The messages I am receiving show that his sacrifice is not forgotten. I am preparing the next steps to ensure this memorial receives the proper attention.

Too right. Sickening what happened to him and the government should be doing more to honor his name.

Never forgotten. Proper hero who gave his life for this country and we should celebrate the lad every year.
