Connexions provide advice and practical help to young people aged 13-19 years old on education, careers, housing, money, health and relationships.
They have beaten government targets locally and work within schools and the community to give the young people of Warrington the best opportunity and future.
Connexions Warrington has suffered £1.2million of cuts, resulting in colossal job losses. Connexions are now only able to provide careers advice and are no longer open on a Saturday (when most young people use it).
There are to be only 5 careers advisors left for the whole of Warrington; 14 schools, 2 colleges, 5 sixth forms and thousands of young people.
But only 5 careers advisors...
Warrington Borough Council has £4million in reserves, and £17million in 'ear-marked reserves'...
DEMAND THAT WHOEVER GAINS CONTROL OF WARRINGTON ON MAY 5TH, FUNDS AT LEAST 5 MORE CAREERS ADVISORS FOR THE FUTURE OF WARRINGTON'S YOUNG PEOPLE!

Ridiculous cuts. 5 people for the whole town? How is anyone actually supposed to get help with that setup? Pathetic council planning.
Spend the reserves. That is what they are for. Dont punish the youth of warrington because the council cant manage money.
I used to go here every saturday to get help with my cv. its awful that they are closing on the weekends when people are actually free.
DO NOT CUT THIS!! The kids need all the help they can get right now with the job market the way it is.
My son relies on these guys for guidance. Without them he has no idea what to do next year. Keep it open!

really helped me out when i was struggling with college apps. dont take this away from the younger ones coming up now
