This county has kicked the can down the road long enough on building new schools and upgrading/fixing the existing ones. Every school in this county needs something. We need to start now. PUT A SHOVEL IN THE GROUND & STOP TALKING ABOUT IT ALREADY! The commissioners were elected to represent us in taking care of the needs of the county. Meeting after meeting, year after year, this county's voters have spoken! We value education and want the best schools for our citizens. Please don't delay the start of the Area 1 school which in turn has a domino effect of delaying all the school needs in this county. My children will not benefit from this school. At this rate, they will always be in an overcrowded school because even the high school projects wont happen before they graduate. My property value and everyone else's in this county will be affected based on your decision on getting going with schools. People will stop coming here if we don't get our schools in the shape they need to be in.

I may be missing something here, so you will have to forgive me. Would not a new school bring jobs to the community, from teachers, drivers, custodial staff etc? We already know there is already an overcrowding and safety issue. Yet our elected officials are willing to allow a temporary "fix" that exposes kids to additional risk, as they move from a secure building to an external containerized building. Down the road, county residents will have to pay for another temporary "fix" or better yet a permanent fix. Why fix a problem twice, when it can be done once? Finally, this temporary "fix" is a strain on our teachers and staff at Sand Hills Farm Life. These hard working professionals require adequate space and materials to be successful. Teachers, students and staff should remain focus on education, not on limited support from our elected officials.

Whether Moore County likes it or not, the towns are becoming hot spots for young families looking to raise their families in our old town type atmosphere. We must invest in the future leaders of our county.

Poor planning on your part (Moore County Commissioners) has constituted and emergency on ours. Do not fail our youth. What message are you sending to them. After all you are the example what legacy to our County will you leave? Do the right thing. Find the money. Raise sales tax etc. whatever it takes!!!!!

The school district will continue to lose money as more and more parents in the county choose private schooling options or move into other districts due to overcrowded and unsafe public schools. Please build another school as soon as possible!!

I believe the commissioners have forgotten it is their duty to fund schools. Their behavior is abominable. Good schools provide the surest route to economic prosperity.

I am disappointed in the change of direction from the County Commissioners and ask for them to quit trying to pass the buck on difficult decisions and do what they were elected to do.

Moore County Commissions should be ashamed of not providing a better learning environment for tomorrow’s leaders and work force. Don’t be so shortsighted. With world class golf facilities, local hospital, and restaurants, it looks like our school system would have more support than it does in Moore County from the County Commissioners.
