As a alumni of SV, closing down all the city schools and grouping will not help the future generations of our children. These kids will be forced to be around even more ridicule and scrutiny because of their social status, race, and background. We as parents and the school broad need to see this. There are other ways to get the funds and bring in more educational support to our inner city schools. This generation and future generations need depend on us. Busing them across the city into schools where these children have been raised to look down at those who are less fortunate then they are. I myself and my siblings all graduated from SV with a good education and good life vaules instilled in us from there, our loving parents and being with peers who didn't judge us based on money and the clothes we had. Please save the schools and explore other ways.

It is unconscionable that our school district is not receiving equitable funding. My son goes to Collegiate Academy, which is consistently ranked in the top three high schools in the state and is also nationally ranked. Can you imagine what they could do if they received an equitable amount of funding?!

The state needs to reconstruct their approach to funding it's cities' schools! It's interesting that Philadelphia has the most funding when the majority of Pennsylvania's policymakers reside there. It is criminal to make so many other students suffer... selfish!

Disgraceful how te Erie School district is underfunded. Every child deserves the right to an excellent education and activities to keep them busy.

Our students need a well funded educational experience so they can lead productive, successful lives.

This is an outrage! You find money for prisons and public assistance but no money for education to prevent people from going to jail or being on welfare!

So unfair to everyone involved. Students and staff. There are more School Districts than Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.

Education is the most important aspect of life and the children of Erie should not be deprived of that due to lack of support from the state.

I'd like to have the state tell us where is the money that they refuse to give our school districts. The surplus must be huge by now!

If all the city schools close there is no way there will be enough room in the other local high schools for all of those students. Where exactly are the other local high schools not in city limits supposed to put 12,000 students? Why doesn't the school board volunteer their services before they ask the teachers to volunteer their time?
