I both live and work in the city of Seattle. The city must continue to support the outreach programs. These programs help serve some the cities most vulnerable citizens. I support Mayor Burgess' proposed budget.

I work in a hotel on 6th and Seneaca. Tourism brings alot of funds into the city of Seattle and our guests are appaulded at the way this city is handling homelessness, panhandling etc. Many guests are afraid to go out in the streets of downtown Seattle in the evening.

Do not allow homeless encampments in our public park spaces. These should be safe, prestine, places to enjoy not areas to provide housing for homeless people . We need solutions backed by services and opening up our public parks is not a direction I support. As a property owner next to Carkeek and the owner of An apartment building in Ballard, I have had the displeasure of removing human waste, needles garbage and discarded belongings from our property. We have people sleeping occasionally in or carport, using our water and electricity and breaking into empty apartments leaving them infested. I am sorry for their plight and encourage well thought out solutions but not in the parks!

Assisting the homeless law abiding citizens is necessary. Not holding the criminal homeless element accountable is a serious derelict of duty by all city officials. I would support a lawsuit against all city officials that support turning this entire area into a crime infested Jungle. We have been fighting this battle for years now and the city officials continuing to turn a blind eye is ridiculous.

Kshama Sawant and Mike OBrien are nothing but trouble makers. They need to be voted out of City Council next election.

Please pass the portion of the Mayor's budget that will allow the city to continue to clean up dangerous and illegal encampments. STRIKE DOWN THE PROVISO!

We need these common sense approaches which are really compassionate, not the current haphazard and wildly unaccountable spending.

Allowing people to live in ditches and mud is not compassionate. We need results based programs to eliminate this problem

Sweeps get the homeless folks into treatment, rehab, medical care and housing. It is a humane solution to the homeless problem.

Please! We pay taxes for preservation of public spaces so that we can safely enjoy them. You're taxing us out of our homes, at least let us have some benefit
