Unsanctioned Camping is Unsafe! Fully Fund Compassionate Intervention!

Wish I could attend the rally; sadly I have to work.

A large percentage of the homeless are drug addicts. A large percentage of drug addicts are responsible for a large percentage of property crimes and violence.

Clean up these camps now!

Keep the sweeps going!

Camping is not a solution!

I am also a volunteer forest steward with Green Seattle Partnership in conjunction with Seattle Parks. I have work with numerous volunteer groups over many years doing restoration of natural areas. Finally, Frink park is starting to show signs of improvement. Encampment in any of our parks completely undoes all the labor of industrious citizens in very short order. It is one thing to encounter dog excrement, but another to have to deal with human feces, drug paraphernalia, and other issues of the homeless. Get them a permanent solution, please!

Please Seattle City Council. Use some common sense to create a city that works for all of us.

Allowing women to be brutalized in camps, children to live in this environment and drug users to exploit those who want help is not the solution. Accountable programs designed to rehabilitate those who want rehabilitation and action against those who don't, as well as accountable programs who help those who need it and are begging for it must be allowed. Accoutability and action is what I am looking for.

Please we need to fix this for everyone's benefit. It is out of control.

After visiting NYC, we need to do a better job. Saw far fewer homeless on streets.

Fully fund navigation teams and bring homeless people inside from the cold. Winter will be harsh. Let's save lives.

It would seem that this is big business ... we need to rally to vote all these council members out , or Seattle will be a cesspool of filth , it’s almost to that point

Please someone step up & stop the insanity . Help the people who want / need help ! Do not enable the lazy unmotivated ..Clean up this once beautiful Emerald City before it's too late . City Council oblivious .

It would be a disaster to allow camping in Seattle Parks, which are refuges in nature for everyone. They are fragile ecosystems which would be trashed and destroyed by campers and become hiding places for drug use and other illegal activities.

Green spaces are actively used, just not for people to tramp through. Preserving tree canopy requires allowing space for trees to live, including healthy root systems. It also means undisterbed areas for young trees to grow to replace the aging canopy. Aging trees make many green spaces unsafe. Many large trees fall every year (3 or 4 a year just in the small park I volunteer in). If we have people living in green spaces, they will get hurt or killed by falling limbs or trees.
