Unsanctioned Camping is Unsafe! Fully Fund Compassionate Intervention!

I totally support Mayor Burgess’ proposals to serve Homeless “campers”.

I work in the City Center every day and the violent encounters that my staff and I have on a daily basis with homeless individuals is increasing. It needs to stop.

We cannot have people parking next to our highways and streets. It's unsafe for both them and drivers. I see countless people on myers way walking aimlessly across the busy road causing dangerous conditions for everyone. Their are also heeps of trash that get left behind, showing that their is no regard for the local area or it's people.

I support Mayor Burgess' proposal and urge you to strike down the proviso proposed by Kshama Sawant. Please do not allow or encourage camping in public spaces.

Parks are for everyone and allowing homeless camps will prevent many people from using them. Thank you for considering all the people of Seattle, not just the unfortunate ones.

Our city since its founding - has had plenty of social services to assist people(families and individuals) with their basic, and more than basic needs. Those not accepting help need it more than anyone - the mentally ill and drug & alcohol dependent especially. Those who are violent offenders, gang involved, etc., need to be gone. We are serious about taking our city back - especially those of us who have lived here for generations. thank you.

The homeless problem in Seattle has become exponentially worse over the last few years. There are better solutions out there. It should be illegal to camp in public places. If people want to camp all year round, then provide them with a campground to camp in and run it like the state parks run their campgrounds. It's really not that complicated.

Please continue to support the Navigation Teams effort to support the homeless population in our area and get them the help that is needed. The teams effort last year has shown results in that nearly 2000 individuals were served. Let’s let them continue as they’ve shown they are effective.

Please continue the use of Navigation teams and DO NOT expand camping in parks.,this expansion will make the wooded areas of parks inaccessible to the general public including children.

It makes no sense at all to allow camping in public spaces like parks. It's dangerous for the person camping, dangerous for the public, and it presents a health risk to all. Seattle is not a third-world city STOP trying to turn it into one!

City Council is again disappointing. If a homeless/vehicle sleeper refuses services get rid of them. Time to put on you big boy pants council, fix this.

If this proviso passes I will never again vote for any parks or homelessness funding initiatives- initiatives I have supported without fail for me 40 years in Seattle

People living in cars and RVs—unsafe, unclean and a public nuisance for working people coming and going from homes and workplaces in the Ballard, North Lake Union and Fremont areas. There has to be a better solution than the one legalizing these living arrangements.

To the Seattle city council, this is not an acceptable solution. Please solve the problem and not the symptom

I’m agree that this population needs help, but permit an invasion everywhere is not the solution.

The majority of these people are addicts you will be putting our children in harms way if you do this.

Too livid and emotional about this topic for words. Maybe you should show some compassion for the people who have lived here for years and do not refer to Seattle as "Sucker City". Throw the Bums OUT!
