Unsanctioned Camping is Unsafe! Fully Fund Compassionate Intervention!

a city wide camping free for all is not the answer, please don't do this. it's not safe for our children or others who pay for our city services.

Build housing. RVs on the streets and tents by the freeways is worse than Hoovervilles.

Parks are for out of doors recreation and relaxation, especially for our children. Parks are no place for desperate people to camp in self made squalor. Other means than turning over our parks for such a use should be taken. Once it’s done there’s no turning back. A pox on those who would give up our parks to filth and destruction!

We need to end the illegal encampments!

We do not need dangerous and illegal encampments. Act to eliminate them.

Homeless camping is unsafe for everyone

How about some common sense from our city council.

Please do not allow camping in our parks and green spaces. It damages the habitat which provides numerous ecosystem services like flood management, improves air and water quality and provides habitat for countless wildlife species. Hundreds of volunteers contribute countless hours to restore and manage these spaces for the good of the city and camping will negate that contribution.

Living on the street, in under passed, is unacceptable. Crime, violence, theft, property damage is unacceptable. Look st Seattle’s I used office spaces that could be housing and have Human Services on site to help the homeless.

Allowing illegal camps doesn't solve the problem but rather kicks the can down the road.

Do not allow camping anywhere in city except for designated encampments. The city of Seattle owes its tax-paying residents safe and clean parks, not needles, garbage and human waste.

If we spend 60 million on the homeless that equals 15k a year per person....I know there is a better way to spend that money and make a real difference

Permitting homelessness in green space does NOT equal compassionate treatment for the mentally and physically disabled.

Our city's proposals, even the ones that do not pass, travel across the country and around the globe. We know our homeless numbers are increasing and the press coverage of these proposals only encourage more homeless to come to Seattle! The tolerance of encampments and changed the face of this city forever. Please do NOT continue on this path. I've talked with so many reasonable people who talk about leaving the city. Tragic.

need to continue to clean up not enable- and ignore illegal activity we pay taxes and deserve to live in safe neighborhoods recently a homeless female attacked a woman walking her baby in a WS neighborhood- prior to this she was sleeping in a park at a community center where children of all ages go to stay and play also there is nice little park in the junction by OFC that has turned into a park where homeless gather all day and sleep on benches making it unusable for others we have spent sooooo much $ - we have so many services- our city isnt for illegal activities to be tolerated and waste and filth everywhere we all have laws for ALL to follow also along Harbor ave the RV continue to expand I couldnt find a place to park- which isnt right when people are allowed to stay there , I cant park my car for more than 72 hrs or I will get a ticket lets get our city back - safe and clean

no! Stop ruining our city!

Please do not accept this proposal by Kshama Sawant and Mike O'Brien. this will be bad for our city and our neighborhoods. It does not solve problems but enables people.

E.g. Meridian Park hosts a playground and is used by a school and boys &girls club. One camper told me drunks fight in the big shelter near good shepherd building. Our parks are for all the public. Encampments make them unsafe for all of us.

No encampments whether motorhomes or tents.

Make it STOP!!! Why do we want to do this to our beautiful city?!?!
