Please don't let this happen. I don't believe our parks were designed and planned for this type of use. This will cause unnecessary strain on our parks system and it's employees as well, not to mention the increased cost of upkeep that will result.

Let's do the right things to help these people get off the streets, not pretend that making it easier for them to stay there is compassion.

Get them in your backyard. The homeless are taking over this city. I can’t imagine staying here with the way things are handled.

City Council PLEASE consider the known child trafficking that takes place in some of these encampments. Do NOT remove funding to help move the residents towards services. Protect the MOST vulnerable who are victimized through these encampments.

The homeless deserve better, let's help them the right way. Beds, roofs, food. Not tents outside in the cold. They are people, not animals. Human dignity.

Please do not stop sweeps of illegal encampments and please create more sanctioned temporary tent cities.

I hope this works. I am so sick of tents all over the place, garbage, needles. You name it.

Allowing camping encourages illegal activities and promotes additional camping. Enough is enough. Camping is not a solution. We would like our kids to use parks without fear, intimidation, spent drug paraphernalia, and trash.

Camping in our public areas encourages more property crime to the surrounding neighbors. Allowing it encourages more campers to come here. This is not the right approach to solve this!

Shame on Kshama Sawant. People deserve better than an encampment to live in.

I do NOT support the “proviso” as proposed by Council Member Kshama Sawant that would prevent the City of Seattle from spending money, staff time or other resources to remove unauthorized encampments in most public spaces.
