All of our well meant compassion is making this situation worse. Accept help now or obey all laws we hold taxpayers to- that needs to be the message.

"Since February, the city’s Navigation Team has connected 528 people in encampments with alternate, safer living arrangements and connected 1,340 people with services. By comparison, for all of 2016, outreach efforts to encampments resulted in only 214 people accepting services."

You can do better, for all the citizens of Seattle. The homeless need to be taken off the streets and housed. The taxpayers, who vote you in and out of office, also deserve to have a safe city to live in. How many more businesses and tourists are you willing to lose?

This is an unwise idea. We need structural solutions not band aid approaches.

I believe such non regulation is a very poor idea and helps no one.

Seattle has turned into a homeless camp. They need drug addiction help and motivation. Allowing them to live in tents is NOT OKAY!! Shame on the council members for ignoring the REAL ISSUE! It’s a hard issue but that is what you get paid for!! And why you are elected!!!

I am strongly opposed to allowing homeless camping in Seattle parks. It's not safe for homeless people or park users.
